Safety

Safety is our number-one priority. Genex has a five-point safety system; every miner fills out a card every day. At the end of the day, the card is checked and if there are any problems they are reported to management.

Genex has just completed, with the help from the Business Development Bank of Canada consultants, a brand new health and safety program. This new safety program is a substantial investment in our employees continued health and safety. Genex is now working towards our C.O.R safety program certification.

As of September 2008, crews had surpassed 50,000 man hours without a lost-time accident.

For safe work practices, safety awards are given to employees for each year of employment.

HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY

Genex Management is vitally interested in the health and safety of its employees and sub-contractors. Protection from injury or occupational disease is a major continuing objective.

Genex Mining Company Ltd. will make every effort to provide a safe, healthy work environment. All supervisors and workers must be dedicated to the on-going objective of reducing risk of injury.

Genex Mining Company Ltd is ultimately responsible for its workers’ health and safety. Supervisors will be held accountable for the health and safety of workers under their supervision. Supervisors are responsible for ensuring that machinery and equipment are safe and that the employees work in compliance with established safe work procedures and under the Health, Safety and Reclamation Code for Mines in British Columbia (2008).

Every employee shall protect his own health and safety by working in compliance with the Mines Code and safe work practices and procedures established by the company.

Health and Safety shall remain the primary concern of Genex and our employees.

British Columbia Mining Projects

  • June 2020 – Current. Agreement with Rokmaster Resources Corp. (Revel Ridge Project) to provide Underground Supervision, Rehabilitation, and Diamond Drill site preparation.
  • 2018 – Ongoing. Genex continues to work on its own Ag, Pb, Zn properties near Silverton B.C.
  • 2017 – Genex successfully completed work at the May Mac mine near Greenwood B.C. and its own Ag, Pb, Zn properties near Silverton B.C.
  • 2016 – Successfully completed Surface and Underground Rehabilitation, underground diamond drill station excavation and diamond drill supervisor contract with Golden Dawn Minerals Inc. September 2016 to May 2017.
  • 2015 – Genex Mining continues work on its local Ag, Pb, Zn properties in Silverton, BC.
  • 2014 – Genex Mining has successfully reopened the 1025L and 1100L portals for Discovery Ventures Inc. Willa mine, Silverton, BC.
  • 2014 – Genex Mining is currently aiding multiple junior mining companies with their feasibility studies.
  • 2012-2013, Genex Mining has acquired an option on a former producing Silver, Lead and Zinc mine near Silverton B.C. After obtaining required permits, Genex Mining rebuilt some of the surface infrastructure, completed 1220 meters of tunnel rehabilitation, which included mucking caves, timbering and bolting. Next phase to include diamond drilling.
  • 2012 – Genex Mining Company Ltd. has successfully completed a Track Drifting and Diamond Drill Station Excavation contract for Ampex Mining Ltd at Prophecy Platinum’s Wellgreen Project, Yukon. March 2012- May 2012.
  • 2011 – Genex Mining Company Ltd. has successfully completed a 6 month mining contract for Roca Mines Inc. without a Lost Time Accident. May 15, 2011 – Oct.15, 2011
  • 2011 – Genex Mining has successfully completed an underground bolting program at the Aishihik, Yukon Hydro tunnel for Online Constructors Inc. April 2011.
  • 2010 – Genex Mining has successfully completed an underground development program for Roca Mines Inc. MAX mine, Dec.2010.
  • 2010 – Genex Mining successfully completed underground development program for Hailstorm Mining Corp. in August, 2010.
  • 2010 – Genex Mining successfully completed surface drill/blast bulk sample for Stikine Energy Corp. in July, 2010.
